Internal Investigation. Record company that had royalty issues and problems with contracts primarily due to poor recordkeeping. Miner fraud issues discovered and resolved, accounting for royalties upgraded to comply with contracts and other operational, accounting, and tax problems solved to get the company in compliance and organized properly.
Turn Around - Gaming Company. Hired as Chief Financial Officer by passive, 50% shareholder of Gaming Company that had experienced embezzlement and fraud by Chief Executive Officer and 50% shareholder who had been removed from the company. Worked with new operations officer to get the company back on its feet and profitable. Completed the assignment in 6 months and hired a permanent Controller to handle the day-to-day financial operations.
Royalty Agreement. Two former members of a defunct music group sued the group's leader, manager, record company, and others, claiming they did not receive all the royalties due them from the group's efforts. Royalties disputed included records, music publishing and song writing.
